2024 State Summit on Behavioral Health and the Justice System

The Centers of Excellence within the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy is hosting our fourth Annual State Summit on Behavioral Health and the Justice System: Utilizing the Sequential Intercept Model (SIM).

This workshop will take place on October 8 and October 9, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Annapolis located at 173 Jennifer Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401.

The Summit is free and open to professionals in behavioral health, law enforcement, the legal system, corrections, and reentry; advocates and individuals with lived experience are also welcome. This two-day event will open discussion to improve how individuals with behavioral health needs come in contact with and flow through the criminal legal system.

Day one will include intercept-focused presentations where participants will learn about innovative services and prosperous organizations. Day two will focus on smaller break-out sessions to help identify opportunities for linkage to services and prevent further penetration into the criminal legal system across the State.
