Secret Gardens of Cambridge Tour 2024
The Secret Gardens of Cambridge (SGC) is a biennial fundraising event of the Friends of the Cambridge Public Library. Since its launch in 2000, SGC has featured more than 200 individual gardens in Cambridge, from a backyard oasis featuring a hidden swimming pond to a garden that springs to life with thousands of bulbs each year. The Secret Gardens of Cambridge offers a special self-guided tour for all members of the community to discover and explore private gardens in neighborhoods all across the city.

Through the tour you will walk through stunning rear gardens, stroll by delightful front gardens, and be immersed in local culture and storied institutions. This self-guided tour promises to be a treat for families, community members, budding gardeners, and landscape professionals alike. Note: Physical booklets with maps of the gardens will serve as your "ticket" for the tour. Booklets can be picked up in person at select times prior to the event, or for an additional $1 mailed directly to you prior to the tour (order before May 20). Attendees who select the pickup option can visit the Main Library Branch (449 Broadway) on June 1st & 2, June 8th & 9th from 10-2 to pick up their booklet. A digital, mobile-friendly map will be emailed to all attendees the morning of in addition to the booklet.
