7:00 - 7:15 PM: Welcome Briefing and Advocate Statements
7:15 - 7:45 PM: Ride of Silence and Convocation
Please join us along with cyclists all around the world in a silent, slow-paced ride in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. As always, this event is free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, May 21st, Peoria-area cyclists will meet at Tower Park in Peoria Heights. We will gather at 6:30 PM to prepare for the ride. The ride will begin immediately following a welcome briefing and advocate statements at 7:00 PM.
The route is under 4 miles long and will be ridden at a pace of ~10mph with police escort. Helmets are required and participants are asked to follow the rules of the road and refrain from speaking during the ride. All ages are invited, as long as you can complete the ride.
Parking is available in the Tower Park/Village Hall lot or on street along Glen or Kingman.
Participants are encouraged to visit local businesses on bicycle following ride.
