This year's mentorship cohort takes the stage in their culminating activity, a public reading of their works-in-progress.
About this Event

The QWF Mentorship Reading is scheduled for June 9, 2024 from 2-4pm. This event will happen in-person at Bar La Marche à Côté (5043 Saint Denis St, Montreal, Quebec H2J 2L8).

The QWF Mentorships are designed to help promising emerging writers make the transition to the next stage of their careers. Over a period of four months, each mentee received one-on-one guidance and support from a professional writing mentor. Now, their journey culminates in a public reading where the mentees present an excerpt of their works-in-progress.

This year’s cohort features:

Raphaëlle Aubin, mentored by Su J. Sokol in Fiction
River Lee, mentored by Chris DiRaddo in Fiction
Megan Hunt, mentored by Alexandria Haber in Playwriting
Emily Gaudet, mentored by Sarah Wolfson in Poetry
Santiago Eastman Herrera, mentored by Raquel Rivera in Young Adult Literature (Mairuth Sarsfield Mentorship)
Robin Macdonald, mentored by Elise Moser in Non-Fiction
Emira Tufo, mentored by Daniel Allen Cox in Non-Fiction

Admission is $10 (General) and $5 (Student and QWF Members). Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite, with a few held at the door for cash transactions.

Accessibility: The venue is situated on ground level with one step leading to the entrance. Should you require a ramp for accessibility, kindly notify us at least a few days prior to the event, and we will arrange for one.
