Welcome to 2024 Queensland Disaster Management Research Forum.
The Queensland Disaster Management Research Forum is open to all disaster management practitioners and researchers. It will be a space for researchers and practitioners to meet, share ideas and start conversations.
Join us at Rydges Southbank for a day packed with excitement, developed in collaboration with the Queensland Research Forum Working Group.
The forum will feature:
- Informative sessions: Dive deep into the latest research and practical applications.
- Panel discussions: Engage with experts and thought leaders.
- Networking opportunities: Connect with peers and expand your professional network
When: Tuesday, 19th November, 9.00am - 5.00pm (Registration at 8.30am)
Cost: Free
Registration: Open for both in-person and virtual attendance. If you can’t join us in-person, select the virtual ticket option.
- In-person registrations close 4 November 2024.
- Online registrations close 18 November 2024.
Accommodation: Optional, with costs covered by you or your organisation. Reservations can be made via the Rydges Southbank Website.
Parking and Directions
Driving: Should you require parking at the hotel, a valet parking charge of $55.00 per vehicle will apply. Alternatively, you can park at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for $30.00.
Train: The closest station to the hotel is South Brisbane station. When you exit the station you will be facing the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. Turn right onto Grey Street – the hotel is 300 metres up the street on the same side as the station.
Bus: The closest bus station to the hotel is South Brisbane station. When you exit the station you will be facing the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. Turn right onto Grey Street – the hotel is 300 metres up the street on the same side as the station.
