The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians proudly presents our very first Big-Time event on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:00am at the Equestrian Center, located at the Rolling Hills Casino & Resort. This exciting occasion is open to all, and admission is free! Join us for a day filled with traditional songs and dances from our people and neighbor tribes. There will be an assortment of vendors offering a wide range of goods and a kid's zone that will be hosted by the Rolling Hills Clinic, which will include waterslides, and a splash pad. Bring a towel and bathing suit for your child(ren)!Our special guest is Eric Michael Hernandez.
Eric Hernandez is a Native American Hoop Dancer and Storyteller from the Lumbee tribe. He has shared his story with millions around the world as the lead character in Cirque du Soleil's touring production, TOTEM. After 8 years of touring, Eric is now based in Los Angeles, where he continues to share, educate, inspire, heal and entertain people through the Hoop Dance. He also performed in the 2022 World Championship Hoop Dancing Competition and participated in a TED Talk at UC Irvine.
