About this Event

The City of Victoria and the Downtown Victoria Business Association invite you to participate in the 2024 OUR DWTN Scrub-Up on Tuesday, May 7 from 8 – 10 a.m.

The 2024 OUR DWTN Scrub-Up is an opportunity for businesses, staff and commercial office workers to join together to refresh the face of your block and downtown. In addition, Council, City staff and the DVBA Team will be on hand to help with the Scrub-Up.

Currently, the area of focus includes Wharf to Blanshard Streets and Belleville to Discovery Streets.

The event is brought to you by the City’s OUR DWTN revitalization program, which focuses on beautification, cleaning and enhanced safety, alongside programming and activating spaces downtown to provide everyone a safe and enjoyable experience when visiting our city centre.

Registration

To assist us with event planning, we ask that you REGISTER in advance. When registering, please request one ticket for your business. Additionally, you’ll be asked the number of employees who will be participating, if you have any cleaning concerns (e.g., awning, graffiti, etc.) and if you’d like to have some extra help from members of the public who are keen to take part.

Registrants can pick up a free OUR DWTN Scrub-Up Kit on event day at a Scrub-Up station around town, along with complimentary beverages and treats for your crew. Details will be emailed to registrants closer to the event.

Victoria City Council is investing close to $950,000 this year to activate and refresh downtown through this program with a mix of new retail experiences, pop-up culinary options, recreational and cultural programming, and events and placemaking initiatives – all in a clean and safe downtown.
