Lace up your shoes and dust off your lederhosen this September 23rd! Introducing our newest event, the Oktoberfest 5K & 10K 🍂 🍻 Join the festivities and help us support Covenant House!This Oktoberfest event is in partnership with 49th State Brewing Anchorage. We're bringing you a celebration of German culture that'll leave you hopping with joy. From scrumptious pretzels & cheese, savory sausages, and even Turkish doner kebab. Thirsty after all the fun? There's no better way to quench it than with local specialty crafted brews!
The 5K & 10K courses take a scenic spin on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, and should look absolutely stunning with the fall colors. Starting downtown from 2nd Ave, both courses are out-and-back, heading to Westchester Lagoon, the 5K turns up Chester Creek Trail from there with a teardrop turnaround just past the boat ramp. The 10K sticks to the Coastal Trail.
49th State is graciously sharing their event space with us in the morning, so you can celebrate right after you finish or later with their own version of Oktoberfest starting at 4pm. Celebrate with a German food menu, specialty brews, stein holding contests, weiner tosses, traditional German music and more.
Each participant receives a super comfy event-branded long-sleeve tee and a $10 voucher for tasty eats and beverages at 49th State.
