Calling all Krampusse, perchten, and other Christmas folk monsters!We'll be gathering at the Bull at 4 pm to admire each other's amazing costumes and grab some photos while there's still light.
Before the sun sets (around 5 pm), we'll huddle for a group photo. St. Nicholas and your hosts will rouse the horde, then we'll set off on our parade around downtown!
We'll be circling back to the Bull for those who need to leave early, and then make our way to Central Park to show our stuff at the German Holiday Market. That will be the official end to our parade, though many of us will likely end up at Kotuku Surf Club to end the night.
Come and join us for as much as you choose, and remember, the fun is in getting into your character! Homemade costumes are highly encouraged but not required. Bonus points if you incorporate natural items like wood, bones, fur, leather, or moss into your costume. Let' show Durham how creative we can be as we bring these folk traditions to life! 👹
