2024 North Central Region Conference
Welcome to the 2024 Joint North Central Region & Iowa Wing Conference!The Joint Civil Air Patrol North Central Region and Iowa Wing Conference is being held in Des Moines, Iowa, from 31 May to 1 June 2024.
Friday evening, 31 May, will consist of an evening senior member social, and a cadet Pizza Party activity
The Conference on Saturday will include the morning General Session, which includes addresses by Col. John O’Neill, NCR/CC, Col Jonathan Lartigue, IA/CC, Col. Aaron Reid, Commander, CAP-USAF, and Major General Edward Phelka, Commander and CEO, Civil Air Patrol.
In addition, numerous awards, decorations and recognition will be presented in the morning session. An Iowa Squadron Change of Command Ceremony is planned.
The afternoon session will be starting with a Town Hall, an open forum where the Commanders will be available for questions from the floor.
This will be followed by multiple Learning seminars from Comm (Ready Op), Historian, Logistics, Ops (sUAS), Personnel (Awards), AE (Eclipse), Chaplain, and a Cadet Advisory Council Meeting.
The Banquet will consist of opening remarks, then a buffet style meal. Following this will be evening awards and recognition, followed by two changes of command.
Col. Jonathan Lartigue of the Iowa Wing will be relinquishing command to Col.____.
This will be followed by Colonel John O’Neill turning command over to Col. Thomas Theis.
