This year, we return to live presentations in the LGI at Norwalk High School!This year students worked in groups on two unique projects:
-Want to enjoy a nice, warm beverage without having to deal with the pain of burning your mouth? Or what about a way to help prevent the spread of esophageal cancer? Goldilocks and the Three Bears (GTB) have been working on a way to help prevent all this from happening!
-Team BAM have been shocked by the amount of waste plastic left behind in the 3D printing process and have developed methods to reuse it by melting and reforming it instead of throwing it away.
The Annual Engineering Capstone Design Showcase is a culmination of senior capstone design projects from all engineering disciplines. Student teams present their projects and selected findings.
The knowledge and skills students acquire throughout their four years of PLTW Engineering come together in EDD as they identify an issue and then research, design, and test a solution, ultimately presenting their solution to the community. Students apply the professional skills they have developed to document a design process to standards, completing EDD ready to take on any post-secondary program or career.
