2024 National Philanthropy Day hosted by the AFP of North Louisiana

Please join the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Louisiana as we celebrate National Philanthropy Day. National Philanthropy Day will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at First Methodist Church, Shreveport, Head of Texas St. Doors will open at 11:30 AM and program will begin at 12:00 PM.

The Association for Fundraising Professionals of North Louisiana is an official chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that represents nearly 30,000 members in more than 205 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing, and advocacy.

The Shreveport-based chapter hosts its annual National Philanthropy Day awards luncheon to recognize the contributions that individuals and organizations make to the nonprofit community throughout North Louisiana. The National Philanthropy Day Luncheon honors philanthropic leaders, organizations, and fundraising professionals, who reflect the true spirit of generosity, leadership, and community.

Philanthropy is “the love of humankind,” and National Philanthropy Day® (NPD)— is the day that thousands of people around the world come together to both (1) put that word into action and (2) recognize the change that word has brought to our communities.
