54th Annual State Convention
Join us as we celebrate 54 years of empowering blind people to realize their dreams and live the life they want!
Empowerment, Education and Connection Await!
Friday 1:00-4:00 PM - Will feature a resource fair highlighting various organizations serving the blind community. Discover valuable resources and the latest assistive technology products through interactive demonstrations. We will conduct concurrent workshops focusing on legislation and access technology.
4:00-5 PM - Will be open house to mingle and network.
5:00-6:30 PM - Come and have some fun and games with your NFB family!
Saturday 8:00 AM – Coffee and a light breakfast followed by a dynamic speaking program will cover diverse blindness-related topics, designed to empower and educate our attendees. Our convention will culminate with an evening banquet featuring an inspiring keynote address by Denise Avont, celebrate our collective accomplishments over the past year and witness the awarding of a scholarship to a deserving blind student who exemplifies academic excellence and leadership.
The convention serves as a platform for blind individuals to learn about resources, participate in live demonstrations of the latest assistive technology, connect with peers, build lasting connections, share experiences and build a support network. It is a profoundly positive and inspiring event for everyone. For many, this convention is a life-changing experience. It's a chance to embrace possibilities and gain a renewed sense of confidence.
Deadline for registration is September 11, 2024.
