About this Event
The 2024 La Clinica del Pueblo Summit: Amplifying Community Approaches for Immigrant Health Justice will bring together community members, policymakers, community-based organizations (CBOs), Community Health Workers/Promotores de Salud, and community advocates to discuss models of care and methods for advancing health access within the Latine low-income immigrant communities in the Washington D.C Metropolitan Area.
The summit will serve as a space to explore the interaction between the individual, the group/community, and the social and public policy environments and how they impact community health. Participants will be able to learn from best practices for implementing community-based initiatives and consider strategies for scaling up effective inter-level approaches to strengthen the communities we serve.
The Summit will foster connections and support building stronger alliances among community stakeholders to promote equitable policies and share practices that positively impact the health of the immigrant communities.
Ultimately, the summit seeks to create a comprehensive approach to public health that addresses the complex and interrelated health issues faced.
