If you have never toured before, this ride is for you! For riders new to touring, we are offering this specially-priced overnight tour on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) from Pittsburgh - West Newton and back. With this ride, we provide each rider with education on bike touring, bike and equipment assessment, bike safety & information on how to prepare your body and bike for a tour! A week prior to departure, we will take a short group ride together.

Difficulty Level: Easy - Moderate self-supported
Daily Distances: 34 Miles
Daily Saddle Time: 4-6 Hours
Total Riding Miles: 68 Miles
Terrain: Road and GAP rail-to-trail, crushed limestone surface with less than 2% grade
Rider Limit: Minimum 6 | Maximum 8

One month prior to your trip, you’ll receive weekly emails to get you started and help you prepare. These will include info on how to prepare your body as well as your bike for the tour.
June 1-2: Let’s Ride! - June 1: Meet at 10 a.m. at the fountain in Point State Park.
Lodging: Plumer House, West Newton PA - All lodging is single occupancy per bed, one room has two queen beds.
