Celebrate the Equinox, eat, drink, and be merry in community at this year's Ostara Ritual! Occurring on the Spring Equinox, Ostara is a time of balance, of tipping points, of fertility, and of creativity. As the cold and dark of winter begin to melt away, we see the the world blossom, the sprouts pushing through the soil, the pollinators are all abuzz, and the air is full of birdsong. We honor this point in our cycle around the sun where, just for a moment, the sun and stars equally share their time lighting the sky. And we celebrate the beginning of the light half of the year and all the vitality it brings with its warmth. Ostara is named for the Germanic spring goddess Eostre , goddess of the dawn, fertility, and rebirth. At spring equinox she and many versions of the Spring Goddess are celebrated for awakening the creative forces within plants, animals, and people. This year our intention for our Ostara rituals is "Awakening to the Renewal of Spring." As always for our in-person events, we ask that all in attendance are fully vaccinated and boosted.
What to bring:
* A chair or blanket to sit on
* Food to share in the post-ritual potluck picnic- maybe something that reminds you of Spring energy
* Your own plate, utensils, and cup to help us reduce waste
All of our rituals are free of charge. We will have a donation box and cashapp link available for those who wish to support the Cauldron.
