Join us at the historic Blue Mouse Theatre as the Tacoma Landmarks Preservation Commission presents their 2024 Historic Preservation Awards. The annual awards recognize the critical work of community members who enhance and preserve Tacoma’s unique character through outstanding heritage-related efforts.This year's program will include special guests such as Voices of Tacoma: A Gathering of Poets.
The Outstanding Achievement award categories 2024 include: Sustainability, Housing, Broadening Perspectives (Awareness of under-documented or represented historical narratives), Partnerships in Preservation, Commercial Renovation, Community Engagement, Heritage/Legacy Business, Landmark Nomination, Leadership in Preservation, and Career Achievement.
Refreshments will be provided. This is a free, all ages, public event. No tickets required. RSVPs appreciated.
