About this Event
The Hintonburg Artisan Craft Fair will be Saturday November 30, 2024 at the Hintonburg Community Centre and we are looking for artisans to sell handcrafted items throughout the day from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Hintonburg Artisan Craft Fair has been a prominent event in our community throughout the years. In addition to showcasing local crafters, this event features a bake sale, hot chilli lunch, a silent auction and lots of familiar faces and good cheer! This is the registration page to purchase a table to sell your handcrafted items.
What can I sell? Crafts, paintings, books, sculptures, art, photographs, clothing...anything creative! We ask that all items for sale are made by the vendor, we are promoting local artisans. We are asking that no one bring commercially made items. If items are made overseas, there is a fee that needs to be paid to the city. No sales reps please.
HCA volunteers sell baked goods as well as a chili lunch and drinks during the sale. We respectfully ask that fresh food vendors (cookies, cupcakes, loaves...) not apply for this fair. However, if your items are packaged for home consumption or gift giving (such as spice blends, jams, honey etc…) we think these are just dandy stocking stuffers and host gifts – so please do apply. Anyone selling sauces/dips/baked goods/honey etc must adhere to the City of Ottawa's requirements for Food Vendors at Special Events.
How do I register and pay? Via this site with a credit card by 11pm on Saturday November 22, 2023. Spaces are $70 each. You will receive a confirmation email and receipt. All proceeds go to support the Hintonburg Community Association
What is the vendor space set-up? Each vendor will be pre - assigned a table and two chairs. Each table is about 6 feet along, and we imagine the area for each crafter will be about 6 x7 (including the table). There is little to no access for shoppers to get ‘behind’ tables, and the aisles need to remain clear – so please keep this in mind. You are welcome to purchase a few spaces if you need a larger set up. The artisan fair takes place in the gymnasium on the second floor. Please let us know in your registration. if you require electricity and we will do our best to accommodate.
Will Wi-fi or an ATM be available? The Hintonburg Community Centre has free public wifi. However, the Centre does not have an ATM. An ATM can be found nearby at Circle K and Giant Tiger.
What amenities are available? Washrooms and water are available on site. We will also be selling coffee, buns, chili, baked goods and other beverages.
When do I set up/take down? You can set up anytime after 8:30am. Volunteers will be available to assist you as needed. Clean up takes place from 4-5pm
How can I contact the organizer? Please email Jessica Stark at [email protected] or 613-262-5125
What's the refund policy? Refunds will be issued up to 1 week before the event If you are not able to make it, let us know as soon as you can as another vendor may be waiting to join! Please note that in the event of unprecedented circumstances, there could he a full refund up to the day of the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No
Where can I park? The Hintonburg Community Centre has a parking lot in the back that will need to be used for attendees. You are welcome to use the lot for loading and unloading as required, but there is ample street parking throughout the community that can be used throughout the day.
How do you promote the event? This festival has been running for many years and we have a pretty strong following in the community, that being said - we promote the event on social media and our website Hintonburg.com . Closer to the event we will circulate ways you too can promote the event by sharing our poster on your social media sites. Add your website address and social media links to your registration page and we can link to your site from our event pages too!
