NOTE: Masks are no longer required due to the modifications in the CDC guidelines. If a donor prefers the interviewer and phlebotomist to wear masks, Vitalant staff will happily accommodate this request.

Donor Preparation:
•#1 deferral for women is low iron. Women, begin eating iron-rich foods.
•Begin drinking lots of water – hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
•Eat prior to donation (no fasting)
•Bring Photo ID reflecting first and last names
•Visit restroom prior to beginning the donation process
•Donors may take their health history the day of donations – see below.

Regarding Fast Track: Simply log on day of donation and follow the prompts. When completed either print out the boarding pass or snap a picture of the QR code for our staff to scan.
