The 2024 Downtown Longview AMBUCS Christmas Parade is free to spectators. Those wishing to participate in the parade must either purchase a ticket from this platform via credit card, or stop by the Visit Longview Marketplace (109 W. Tyler Street) to complete an entry form and pay with cash.

The theme for this years parade is A Vintage Christmas! The parade will occur in Downtown Longview on Thursday, December 5, 2024. All participants are encouraged to decorate their entry according to the theme. Staging begins at 5:30 PM. The Parade starts at 6:30 PM. A rain-out day will be Tuesday, December 10, if necessary.
Float registration will open on September 16th at midnight and will close on November 8 at 5PM. All participants must pre-register by Friday, November 8, 2024. Don't wait to register! The event may sell out before the registration deadline.
The parade is organized by One Hundred Acres of Heritage, the City of Longview Main Street program, and Longview AMBUCS. The event is made possible thanks to a title sponsorship from Komatsu.
Applications will not be processed without payment. No refunds will be issued.
Please note: There is a processing fee for online payments. Cash payments made at The Longview Marketplace do not require a processing fee.

IMPORTANT PARADE RULES
1. All entries MUST reflect a decorative Christmas spirit in their floats, vehicles and costumes.
2. NO solicitation or political campaigning of any kind allowed.
3. Children age 5 and under may not walk through the parade.
4. If driving classic/antique vehicles, it must be in restored condition.
5. No throwing candy or other trinkets by parade participants. If your group throws out anything from the parade entry, you will be banned from future parades. You may hand candy out if you have people walking along your float.
6. The City of Longview will provide Santa Claus in the parade, so please, NO other Santa's.
7. Participants may NOT ride on hoods of vehicles.
8. No floats more than 40 feet in length.
9. Entry of motorcycles, ATV’s, or 3 wheelers are not allowed unless approved by committee.
10. All business entries MUST be trailer-drawn, decorated floats, or decorated specialty vehicle.
11. Pageant winners MUST ride in a convertible.
12. GROUP LEADERS, you are responsible for coordinating the members of your organization and making sure each member knows where and when to arrive and depart.
13. Youth groups are encouraged to decorate floats or vehicles and ride through the parade. Adult supervision must ride on the float with the youth.
14. Organizations, groups, or individuals that do not strictly adhere to the parade rules will be escorted from the parade premises by the LPD or Gregg Co. Sheriff’s Department.
15. If your entry includes horses, you are responsible to keep them under control at all times. If unable to control your horse you will be required to leave.
16. In the event of a cancellation of the parade due to inclement weather on both the primary date and the rain date, entry fee will be accepted as a charitable contribution to One Hundred Acres of Heritage Main Street.
