Join us for the 3rd annual Dorothy’s Hats and High Tea. Mrs. Dorothy Rice knew the importance of education, and she loved her hats.Social hour will be from 12-1 pm
The program officially starts at 2 pm.
Mrs. Dorothy Rice knew the importance of education. As the parents of 11 children, Mrs. Rice and her husband, Tommy not only made sure their children graduated from high school, but they also stressed the importance of higher education. In 1993, their youngest received his degree, making all 11 children 1st generation college graduates. As a result of their commitment to excellence, they challenged each sibling to support one another and their community. The Tommy and Dorothy Rice Scholarship was developed.
Dorothy had a love for education and hats. Join us in celebrating her memory at Dorothy's Hats and High Tea. Proceeds from this event will provide financial assistance to current minority students at Ouachita Baptist University.
