Get in on the fun! Form a community team of 16 paddlers and 1 drummer! The community boat racing portion of Festival will be on August 4 with practice weekend being July 20-21 and racing all day Sunday August 4. We plan to host BCS & Sport Dragon Boating teams’ 500 m races on Saturday Aug 3, and 200m races on Sunday. $1200 per boat. $50/person with a $75 fundraising commitment. BCS and Sports Teams are invited to fundraise to get festival t-shirts. Register your team at https://secure.dragonheartvermont.org/event/lcdbf2024Community Races 8 a.m. - 3p.m. Compete for best racing time, best team costume, best team tent, most funds raised, etc. Register by June 3 to ensure we have a T-shirt in the size you ordered. Our 2024 festival pledge partner is Osher Integrative Oncology at UVM Cancer Center which offers therapies that help relieve suffering, improve care and quality of life, support healthy lifestyles, and empower cancer patients and families. Osher provides massage, acupuncture, yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition — therapies often not covered by insurance. Individuals can also sign up to paddle and we’ll place you on a team that needs a paddler.
