Bloomington Motion Artist Group, IU Innovates, Constellation Stage & Screen, and Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington have partnered to foster a forum discussion between various entrepreneurship support resources in the area, and an audience of artists and creatives who are striving to professionalize and establish themselves more successfully.Business is growing in the Uplands Region of Southern Indiana, and the professionals who work in the applied arts are a vital subset of a healthy economy. How do we nurture and support our homegrown creative talent pool? How do we create ladders of success for aspiring artists and designers? How do we tell entrepreneurs to build their studios and agencies here?
We are bringing together stakeholders from economic development in the Greater Bloomington area in a manner that invites a community audience to participate in a conversation that facilitates collaboration and experimentation between entrepreneurship supporters and artists to co-create pilots and fill gaps in entrepreneur support — and moves us towards a more unified and educated creative scene that better understands how to partner with regional services.
