The Fall season is here and you know what that means... The Annual Country Boy Chili Cookoff is back! The cookoff will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1-4pm at the Georgetown Taproom (Check-in time is between 11:30 AM -12:30 PM for competitors). The purpose of the Chili Cookoff is to raise money and canned goods for God's Pantry!
To sign up as a competitor, please select a ticket below. There will be a $25 entry fee that covers two drink tickets per competitor, crackers, and serving spoons. You will then receive the $25 back when you arrive to the cookoff.
What to bring/What you will need:
- At least one large batch of chili. The more chili you make, the more you can sample out. The more samples, the more votes you can collect.
- Bring your chili at a serving temperature. THIS MEANS BRING IT HOT!!!
- We will be transferring your chili into metal pans and serving trays with sternos. This will allow us to keep your chili warm for the duration of the event.
- If you bring your chili in a throw away container, it will be easier to transfer your chili. Any container is acceptable though.
- Please bring a ladle or spoon to serve your chili. Chili will be served in a 2oz ramekin for guests. These will be provided.
- Please bring any toppings you'd like to add to your chili: cheese, sour cream, etc. Also please bring anything you would need to serve these items: tongs, spoon or something to keep cheese the extra items at proper temperatures.
***** Crackers will be provided by Country Boy for guests******
RULES:
- Per usual, there are no rules for the chili. Feel free to make any type. To reiterate, please make at least one large batch and more never hurts. We would like a wide variety of chili recipes! (If spicy, please let guests know)
- Check-in time for competitors is between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, so please arrive early to get everything ready by the time guests arrive.
