Join us for a magical evening of holiday cheer, featuring live performances by Island artists, refreshments, and a festive tree-lighting with Father Christmas himself! The event begins with a candlelight promenade, departing from Founders’ Food Hall & Market at 6:15 p.m. Members of the public who wish to participate in the promenade are asked to meet outside Founders’ Food Hall & Market between 6 and 6:15 p.m. to pick up a candle. The walk will be led by the Confederation Centre of the Arts Intermediate Youth Chorus, who will sing Christmas carols as they lead participants up Great George Street, Victoria Row, Queen Street through the Victorian Christmas Market, finishing at Grafton Street in front of the Christmas tree.
The official Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Confederation Centre of the Arts Lou MacEachern Upper Plaza.
We'll be sharing more details after Remembrance Day, stay tuned!
