The Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change (CERIC) warmly invites postgraduate researchers at all stages to the 2024 CERIC Doctoral Conference - ‘Globalisation and the Future of Work’. The conference will be held on Monday May 20, 2024, in a hybrid mode at the Clarendon Building (University of Leeds) and on Zoom.

CERIC, based at the University of Leeds, is one of the largest interdisciplinary groups of social scientists working in the field of work and employment in the UK, and the Doctoral Conference has, for over a decade, provided a supportive and engaging environment for postgraduate researchers across the UK, and internationally, to share their work.

In today's rapidly evolving global economy, the dynamics of labour and employment are undergoing profound transformations. Technological advancements, demographic shifts, and geopolitical changes are reshaping the way we work, the nature of jobs, and the relationships between employers and employees. Globalisation has brought unprecedented opportunities for economic growth, innovation, and interconnectedness, but it has also given rise to new challenges and disruptions in the world of work. The theme of this year's conference, ‘‘Globalisation and the Future of Work’’, reflects our commitment to exploring the multifaceted impacts of globalisation on employment relations, and anticipating the trends that will shape the future of work.

Our objective at the conference is to present ground-breaking new postgraduate research, foster meaningful dialogue, exchange innovative ideas, and inspire action that will shape the future of work in a globalised economy.
Conference programme and full details will follow shortly.
Registrations close 10th May, 5pm.
