Welcome to the 2024 CCAoNH Keys to Quality Conference!
Join us on Sat, Oct 05, 2024, at Keene State College: Redfern Arts Center for a day filled with insightful sessions, networking opportunities, and fun activities.
Our conference will feature engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and valuable resources to help you enhance the quality of your work in early childhood education.

Child Care Aware of New Hampshire, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services, is pleased to provide this full-day, in-person conference devoted to quality professional development to assist child care programs, early childhood professionals, and administrators in enhancing and improving their practices.
- A total of Twelve (12) training opportunities will be offered
- All training offered at this conference count toward your annual required training hours.
- This conference will award participants up to 6 hours of professional development, including a welcome address & closing speaker.
- Please note once the conference is complete, proof of attendance for NH Child Care Providers will be found through your NHCIS training tile under completed training. As this is a large conference, please allow 5 business days.
- If you are not an NH Child Care Provider and require proof of attendance, please let us know and we can arrange a Certificate of Attendance for you.
Information to Support Your Day:
PARKING:
Free parking is available at the end of 90 Wyman Way.
REGISTRATION:
- If you require an elevator, there is one available
- Registration will be in the second-floor lobby
- During registration, you'll receive a folder containing all the information for the day, including a map showing the locations of your classrooms
- Informational tables will be located in the lobby throughout the day
- Snacks and water will be made available throughout the day here as well
- Please feel free to bring your water bottles. There are water bottle fountains available throughout the college to refill your water bottles
TRAINING:
- The Keynote and the Closing Speaker will be in the Alumni Recital Hall at Redfern Arts Center
- (Please note that no food or beverages may be brought into the Recital Hall)

There are many options for lunch here at Keene State College.
- You can bring your own and enjoy it anywhere on the campus

MEET OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Angela J. Hanscom is a pediatric occupational therapist and founder of TimberNook—an award-winning developmental and nature-based program that has gained international popularity. She is the author of Balanced and Barefoot: How Unrestricted Outdoor Play Makes for Strong, Confident, and Capable Children. Hanscom is also a frequent contributor to The Washington Post and in 2019 won the Small Business of the Year Award for the State of New Hampshire.
MEET OUR CLOSING SPEAKER
Junlei Li, Ph.D. is the Program Chair of the Human Development and Education and the Saul Zaentz Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education. As a developmental psychologist, his research and practice focus on supporting the helpers – those who serve children and families on the frontlines of education and social services. Studying orphanages, child care, schools, youth programs, he co-develops the “Simple Interactions” approach (www.simpleinteractions.org) to help affirm what ordinary people do extraordinarily well with children in everyday moments. His work is significantly inspired by the pioneering work of Fred Rogers when he served as the Co-Director and Rita M. McGinley Chair for Early Learning and Children’s Media at the Fred Rogers Center.
NH Cares Scholarship: If attending the conference is cost-prohibitive and you are a provider currently working 30 hours or more; you qualify. This scholarship will cover the total fee to attend this conference. The “NH Cares Scholarship” is non-refundable and non-transferable.
