At Georgia’s five-day summer Forestry Youth Camp, middle school students investigate the wonders of forest and wildlife ecology, learn how to identify trees, and discover the value and importance of forests in their daily lives. They spend time with professionals who manage Georgia’s forest land and others who work in the forest products industry.Boys and girls ages 12 and 13 who want to learn about Georgia’s forests are eligible to attend Forestry Youth Camp. Up to 40 campers statewide are eligible on a first-come, first-serve basis. Campers must be 12 years of age by the first day of camp and no older than 13 by the first day of camp.
