2024 ASA Traveling Short course: Data Visualization With R
Join us for a course on the essential role of data visualization in data science and statistics, where you'll learn how to transform complex data into clear, insightful visualizations. Through hands-on training, you'll explore the core principles of visual information perception, the layered grammar of graphics, and best practices for effective visualizations. The course will focus on practical skills in R programming, using the popular ggplot2 package and the reproducible research frameworks R Markdown and Quarto. By the end, you'll be equipped to create impactful, reproducible visualizations that enhance both your understanding and communication of data.
