The All-State Rhode Island High School Sports Awards is an athletic recognition program honoring the area’s top-performing athletes, coaches and teams. The nine-month program, selecting and announcing nominees each season, culminates in an in-person awards show where winners are announced and special awards are given. This awards show will take place on June 27 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium. The show is complimentary to attend for nominated athletes, thanks to our sponsors. Family, friends and supporters can purchase tickets to attend closer to the event. Tickets include a carpet walk and reception, awards presentation and inspirational talk with a special guest professional athlete.
Nicole Mendes, a former University of Oklahoma star, now shines as a professional softball player with the New York Rise. With a collegiate legacy that includes two national championships and multiple Women’s College World Series appearances, Mendes also represents Mexico internationally and served as a softball analyst on ESPN.
