The Algiers Bonfire & Concert is back on Saturday, December 7, 2024!*Please note this event is free and open to the public- please RSVP via Eventbrite so we know where you're joining us from!*
Algiers’ biggest annual holiday celebration and New Orleans’ only official holiday bonfire, the Algiers Bonfire is the neighborhood’s largest public event and pays tribute to Louisiana’s river parish bonfire tradition. Enjoy local musical performances, eat food from local vendors, and shop at the holiday craft market! The star of the event is the iconic 30 foot sculptural bonfire, designed by NOLA Burners, which is then set ablaze. We’re thrilled to have OnPath Federal Credit Union returning as our title sponsor, helping us light up the night and make this event truly unforgettable.
Easily accessible via the Algiers ferry, and with the New Orleans’ skyline as the perfect backdrop, it’s a uniquely festive night filled cheer and local talent!
This year's performers include Sunpie Barnes and the Louisiana Sunspots, the Shades of Praise Gospel Choir, Ballerinas of the Bayou, NOMMA Brass Band, and DJ Mizzle!
Free and open to the public, AEDF hosts this event each year to attract visitors to the Westbank, give local vendors an opportunity to sell their goods to thousands of potential customers, and provide our community with a family friendly holiday event!
