This year we have moved the Evaluation date to the weekend following the Alhambra Summer Event. The Evaluation will take place at Alhambra Stables in Red Deer, on Thursday, August 22nd. Registration will open June 1st and close August 1st.
There are a few reasons for this decision, one of them being the opportunity to provide more education and training opportunities for the young horses that qualify for the program this season. With the Canadian Eventing Development Training Days starting on August 23 - 25, the intention of this timetable is to allow young horses that took part in the Evaluation day to stay for an extra day or two to take advantage of the opportunities being offered through the CEDF Training Days Series.
Bring those 2 & 3 year old Young Event Prospects in out of the field and get them shined up so that you can present them on the triangle this summer. Any 4 & 5 year olds, or new prospects that are older than 5 years old but new to the sport are also encouraged to come out and give this opportunity a try!
This year we will again be offering the TIP High Point awards for all of the Thoroughbred candidates as well!
We look forward to see some lovely young horses on August 22nd!
