Halloween Fun Run

The annual San Mateo Rotary Club Halloween 5K/10K Fun Run has raised over $200,000 for community college and four-year college scholarships!
The Fun Run is part of the San Mateo Rotary Club’s scholarship programs. Through the Fun Run and other fund raising, the San Mateo Rotary Club provides over $100,000 each year to local high school graduates.
There are three different scholarship programs - one for high school students who will be attending community college, another for those high schoolers who will be attending four-year colleges, and one to help eighth graders establish and ultimately achieve their dream of a college education.
• A total of over $1,000,000 has been distributed since the scholarship programs began
• This has helped more than 1,000 young people fulfill their educational goals
• Many of these young people are the first in their families to go to college
If you are a current sponsor we truly appreciate your assistance, and we encourage you to invest in our recipients once again. Please know:
• There is no overhead - all of your support goes directly to young men and women from San Mateo who need assistance to attend college
• Race expenses are completely covered by registration fees and in-kind support.
• Rotary members volunteer to provide all administration, accounting, and race-day services.
