The Ohio Cyber Reserve’s next step after completing the five successful Ohio Cyber Reserve (OhCR) NIST Training Seminars is to complete the NIST Core V2 Assessment Checklist and Gap Analysis with the school district representatives at the Assist Mission Pre Assessment Seminars. During the exercises, we will document the Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover documents that were created during the initial Make and Take Seminars. The OhCR will be checking your work and as a team we will be documenting your progress.
For school districts that went through the OhCR Assist Mission before 2024, the OhCR will work with you to convert your NIST Core V1.1 Assessment Checklist and Gap Analysis worksheet to the new NIST Core V2 Assessment Checklist and Gap Analysis worksheet.
Prior to the session, the OhCR will send NDAs and MOAs to each school district to prepare for the pre-assessment followed by the onsite visit.
Pre-Assessment Seminar 1 – The NIST Core V2 Assessment Start
In this three-hour session, the School District will start their NIST Core V2 Assessment Checklist and Gap Analysis or convert their NIST Core V1.1 Assessment Checklist and Gap Analysis worksheet. We will document all the Govern, Risk Management, and Supply Chain evidence to start the assessment. OhCR members will be assisting you and your team through the whole process and OhCR knowledge base documents will be present for your use.
