RECEPTION AND CEREMONY
The Yukon First Nations Graduation Ceremony is set to take place on Friday, June 2, 2023! The 2023 reception and ceremony will be held at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre. There will be reception prior to the ceremony, from 12pm until 2pm. Tickets are required to attend this.
All graduates need to be at the Cultural Centre by 12:30pm on Friday, June 2, 2023 dressed in their traditional regalia.
There will be a group photo taken at 1pm sharp outside by the river. If you are late you will not be in the photo.
The graduation ceremony will begin at 2pm. The actual ceremony will be outdoors, please dress for the weather.
TICKETS
Each graduate will receive 3 free tickets – one for themselves and 2 to give away.
The graduate's family can purchase a maximum of 2 additional tickets. Additional tickets are $20 each. Cash only. The limit is in place to ensure all families can attend.

Tickets are limited and sell out quickly. They will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
A waitlist will be kept if tickets are sold out or if you have purchased the maximum amount per graduate.
Confirmation emails will be sent before May 19. If multiple people request tickets under the graduate's name, we will contact all parties, including the graduate, to help finalize the requests.
We will hold 1 of the 3 free tickets at the door of the KDCC for each graduate. This ticket is reserved for the actual graduate and is held at the door so they can enter the reception immediately upon arrival.
ESWs will have the remaining free tickets (and any additional tickets confirmed) available for payment and pick-up in all four Whitehorse high schools leading up to the ceremony. There will also be an opportunity for others to pick up their tickets prior to the ceremony. These dates will be emailed once determined.

AWARD NOMINATIONS
We are now accepting nominations for the 2023 Yukon First Nations Graduation Awards! This year we have a total of 49 awards available for students to be nominated.

Once you have completed the online nomination form, please email transcripts to [email protected], along with any additional supporting documents. please ensure the student's name and award is clear in the email.
Anyone is welcome to nominate students for awards, except for the student themselves. We encourage teachers, coaches, tutors, family members, friends of the family, community members, etc. to take a look at the awards and nominate the 2022 graduates.
The deadline for nominations is May 12, 2023 at 3pm. This includes transcripts and supporting documents.
