So Kids SOAR (formerly Dreams For Kids DC) Presents 2023 Adaptive Basketball Camp with Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation & Washington Mystics star Myisha Hines-Allen.
General Information:
Who: The clinic is open to youth with disabilities aged 4 - 30 (every participant will be able to participate in specialized drills). No previous basketball experience is required. Instructors, coaches, and equipment will be provided for all participants. You simply need to show up, SKS + MSE and the Washington Mystics will take care of the rest. ALL So Kids SOAR participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and a copy of your vaccination card must be emailed to [email protected]
VOLUNTEERS: Must be at least 15 years of age or older. We are looking for both skilled volunteers and general volunteers who do not have any prior experience. ALL VOLUNTEERS will need to go through a review of our regulations documents and a mandatory volunteer briefing call before the clinic. ALL So Kids SOAR volunteers must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and a copy of your vaccination card must be emailed to [email protected]
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Please sign up as a parent if you will be attending with your participant, if you would like to volunteer WITH your child - please sign up as a VOLUNTEER! As a reminder, a parent/guardian must be on-site throughout the entire clinic.

What: The event will take place from 11AM - 1PM on Saturday, January 7th and will consist of specialized drills for all participants. Children will be grouped and paired with trained volunteers and instructors who will guide them through a progression of drills and exercises. Light snacks will be provided for participants, volunteers and guardians.
When: Saturday, January 7th from 11AM - 1PM; registration will begin at 11 AM.

About Myisha Hines-Allen: Myisha Hines-Allen is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association . In college she played for the University of Louisville. Played in 73 career games (22 starts) in three seasons with the Mystics…Has career averages of 7.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game…Was voted All-WNBA Second Team in 2020 and also finished second in the WNBA Most Improved Player voting, securing 21 votes.
