About this Event
Please join the Detroit Free Press and Metropolitan Affairs Coalition for the 16th Annual Shining Light Regional Cooperation Awards ceremony, which will honor individuals who are having a regional impact and making important contributions to cooperation, progress, and understanding in metropolitan Detroit. The event will be hosted at Burton Manor Banquet and Event Center (pictured below) in Livonia, Michigan.
The event agenda is as follows:
7:30 A.M. Registration & Networking
8:30 A.M. Breakfast Begins
9:00 A.M. Program Begins
10:00 A.M. Conclusion
Individuals will be recognized for the following Shining Light Regional Cooperation Awards.
- Neal Shine Award for Exemplary Regional Leadership
- Eleanor Josaitis Unsung Hero Award
- Dave Bing Young Leader Award

Payment Instructions
Admission to the October 5th, 2023 awards ceremony is $65 per person and $650 for a table of 10. Seating is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Checks MUST be made payable to the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition and mailed to: ATTN: Margaret Warner, 1001 Woodward, Suite 1400, Detroit, MI 48226.
