The 2024 Miss Vietnam Wichita Pageant is an opportunity for young, Vietnamese-AMerican women to build confidence and develop leadership skills while learning more about the Vietnamese culture. In addition, this community event has provided scholarships and valuable experiences to support and empower Vietnamese-American women. The new 2024 queen and her reigning court will be representatives of the Vietnamese-American youth, and will strive to support community events. They will work alongside the MVNW 2024 committee, as well as past titleholders, to promote and preserve cultural diversity here in Wichita. Finally, Miss Vietnam Wichita 2024, along with women representing other Asian communities, will go on to compete in the 43nd annual Miss Wichita Asian Festival Scholarship Pageant on October 12th, 2024.To determine the next Miss Vietnam WIchita, the contestants will compete in the following categories:
- Private Interview
- Ao Dai Wear (Traditional Vietnamese Garment)
- Eventing Gown Wear
- On-Stage Question
- Talent Performance
For this year's pageant, the titles and awards include:
- Miss Vietnam WIchita: $500 cash, crown, sash, and gifts
- First Princess: $300 cash, crown, sash, and gifts
- Second Princess: $200 cash, crown, sash, and gifts
- Miss Interview: $100 cash, sash, and gifts
- Miss Community: $100 cash, sash, and gifts
- Miss Photogenic: $100 cash, sash, and gifts
- Miss Congeniality: $100 cash, sash, and gifts
- Miss Talent: $100 cash, sash, and gifts
In an effort to elevate the quality of this year's pageant and to provide contestants, judge, and audience member a memorable experience, a $5 cash admission fee will be collected at the door. VSA paid general member are admitted free on pageant day. Childern ages 12 and under will be admitted free of charfe. Doors will open at 11:45 AM
