2023 LCMC Youth Mission Trip

Join other LCMC youth and leaders in Columbia South Carolina, June 18-24; as we serve the community in many different ways. We will be participating in construction, community service and relational ministry on this trip.

-TRAVEL INFORMATION-

• Flying out of Albuquerque, NM to Columbia, SC Sunday June 18th.  
• Traveling by plane.
• During the week starting Sunday June 18th, we will be staying at Grace Chapel Church
• Address: 663 Dixiana Rd, West Columbia, SC 29172
• We will work Monday through Thursday at various sites in the city. Friday will be a fun day.
• We will Depart early Saturday morning to return by 5pm that same day.

-OTHER INFORMATION-

• The cost of the trip is $250 per participant (plus airfare) which includes all meals and activities except lunch on the first day. Payable by check or cash. 
• A $50 deposit is due when registering.

• The final payment is due by May 1st 2023.

• Scholarships are available, please talk to Pastor Scott if this is needed. 

• Spots are limited so sign up quickly!

• Students will not have access to cell phones during worship, devotions and for safety most of the work day, but will have their phones during downtime in the evening. I will have my phone at all times so if you need to get a hold of your student quickly, call or text me.

Pack List

• Bible
• Heavy duty and reusable water bottle like a nalgene or a hydroflask style (walmart has great prices in their brand).
• Willing and humble servant attitude
• ID Card (if applicable)
• Air Mattress or Cot (we will be sleeping on the floor)
• Bedding-sleeping bag and pillow
• Sunglasses and hat
• Sunscreen
• Snacks
• Shower Towel
• Swim Towel 
• Swim Suit (must be appropriate) 1-piece or 2-piece with cover. 
• Toiletries
• Jacket
• Closed toed shoes to work, sandals are ok for downtime
• Work appropriate clothes including a couple pairs of pants, we are expecting rain in July.

• Casual and comfortable clothes for travel and downtime, leggings are acceptable for travel times only. 
• This is a 7 day trip so plan to pack about 10 sets of clothes. 
• I will provide work gloves, safety glasses and all required tools.  
• All meals except Lunch on our first travel day are provided during the week. You can bring extra money if you want for our free day or possible Walmart stops. 

THINGS NOT TO BRING:

• Weapons of any kind. Including Infinity Stones, Vibranium and/or pocket knives
• Energy Drinks (they will be discarded).
