Attention All Mortgage Banking Ski Trippers!About this Event
This time, we are legitimately ‘re-uning’ in New York. Yes, we finally had a ski trip in early March during an absolutely epic year in Utah. As best we know, NO COVID cases among the intrepid. Margaritas and Shot skis reappeared and powder was everywhere. AND we held the Second Annual Ken Portz Memorial Race on the Deer Valley Race Course with a redesigned finish line and a nice $$ donation to the Adaptive Ski Association in Durango, CO. Yes, we are slowly returning to some sense of normalcy. It was definitely a trip for the ages and Mother Nature unleashed her very best with nightly snows and bluebird days to remind us how much we appreciate Utah and its incomparable snow-covered canyons.

So, is Jeff still hiding out in his constructed anti-Russian ICBM bomb shelter? Are still freshly minted Texans, Nolo and ‘Torn ACL’ Dubie, still hanging out in BIG D, somewhere between Dallas and Fort Worth? And did Dave get those palettes of Diet Mountain Dew shipped out to Dubie and Sam in time for the summer party season? Inquiring Ski Trippers want to know…
For all of you who came on the trip, you have the distinct pleasure to remind those that didn’t of what they missed. For those that didn’t make the trip, WE STILL LOVE YOU AND MISS ALL OF YOU!! And with another hoped for gift from the SNOW powers to be, we will return in 2024. In the meantime, we will be ‘re-UNING’ in Manhattan in three weeks.
Things have marginally improved in the social scene in NY, however many of our former haunts are simply hollowed out shells, haunted by former HNM ski trippers, no doubt. But things are coming back, for example, the Blue Fin is now reopened to, at a minimum, the smiling faces of the Redwood Trust meeting crews. AND, happily, the Mean Fiddler is not only open, but thrilled to have the thirsty Secondary Market players with the MBA back for another rockin’ Tuesday night.
The Hurt No Mor Ski Trip Gang will return to Hell’s Kitchen. Those that were there last year, know the spot and for those that weren’t, but have attended the MBA Secondary, you probably know the venue as well. It’s your ‘Last Call’ bar you hit on the way back to the Marriott on 47th Street between 8th Ave and Broadway, especially since they are always open until 4:00 AM. It is The Mean Fiddler and they are anxious to see your smiling faces and dead presidents in your wallets.

Next years’ dates have not been set; we will be returning to Utah either the 1st or 2nd week of March. We will make sure we are not conflicting with Vegas, Mid-Winter, Mid-Summer, Argentina, Spring Break in Cancun or Padre Island. We will give you plenty of notice and taking registrations in September and October.
