Doors open at 6:00 pm at the Celeste Center! 717 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211.
Paper tickets are available again from the congregations. We will also add an online registration option for faster check-in (we'll post those details soon!).
We will ask city and county officials to commit to implementing solutions to environmental injustices, decreasing gun violence and building trust between the police and community, restorative practices in Columbus City Schools, and affordable housing. We need large numbers of organized people in order to show our officials that it is unacceptable that people in our community struggle to pay utility bills with increasing heat and struggle to breathe from mold that develops with increasing rainfall. It is unacceptable that over 50,000 families spend over 50% of their income on housing and that there are two shootings on average every day in Columbus. We are bringing proven solutions to our officials, and we need YOU in order to win justice for our community.
To keep everyone safe this year, we will take precautions and allow for social distancing. There will NOT be a streaming option this year. Please join us in-person!
• The first entrance will be for IMMUNOCOMPROMISED ONLY- we will also have a mask only section for those who feel more comfortable.
• Childcare will be available as well as a separate child friendly space will be available.
• BREAD research committees have met with professionals and agencies in the field for months before deciding on the best possible solution and the appropriate decision-maker with the power to make the change.
• Your presence is more than just a number; you can expect to be an active participant in backing up our spokespeople by showing solidarity.
