About this Event
Black Graduation HD was created by five Black women educators in the High Desert who would like to give HD graduating Black seniors an opportunity to participate in a pre-commencement Black graduation celebration, who through unyielding determination, have successfully completed high school. The event recognizes their accomplishments and provides an opportunity for graduates to honor those who have helped them achieve their milestone. We offer the ceremony knowing that it connects our community. Allowing students to take pride in their accomplishments, while also celebrating the strength, beauty, and resilience of Blackness and Black joy.
