MEM will be booking roundtrip flights to Chicago and roundtrip transportation from the airport to the hotel.
Retreat is for council members and MEM attendees only.
Wednesday, Sept. 6
The retreat will kick-off with an afternoon at Wrigley Field, as the Cubs take on the Giants at 1:20.
Transportation will take our group from the Gwen Hotel to Wrigley Field, departing between 12:15-12:30 p.m. Make sure you arrive at the hotel before or by 12 p.m.
Your evening is at leisure. A list of restaurants close to the hotel will be available. The hotel concierge will make reservations if you are so inclined.
Thursday, Sept. 7
Breakfast will begin the day, moving into an all-day meeting at the Gwen Hotel.
We will end our time in Chicago with a relaxing group dinner at the Tortoise Supper Club. It is fancy, but not formal— experience an authentic Chicago Supper Club.
Friday, Sept. 8
Depart for home cities.

FLIGHTS
Roundtrip flights from your home city will be booked through MEM. You will be contacted with flight options and times. All flights need to arrive in Chicago early on Wednesday morning to participate in the group's Cub’s Game outing. You must be at the Gwen Hotel no later than 12 p.m.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is provided and paid for by MEM for all airport transfers, group events, and activities within program dates. A transportation agent will meet you at baggage claim. The agent will be holding an MEM sign, will assist with your luggage, and direct you to the waiting vehicle.
STAY EXTENSION OR FLIGHT UPGRADES
If you choose to post-extend your stay or would like to upgrade your flight, you will be responsible for any costs (i.e., hotel, flight, transportation) that exceed MEM’s program guidelines.

Items Paid For by MEM
As a guest of MEM, the following items will be complimentary:
- Round-trip air travel from home city to Chicago and return.
- Transportation between the airport and Gwen Hotel, Sept 6th and 8th.
- Hotel accommodations Sept. 6-8 at the Gwen Hotel, Chicago, including all gratuities and hotel service charges
- All scheduled group meals, drinks, and breakfasts daily
- Cubs game and transportation
Items Paid for By You
You are responsible upon checkout for incidentals and other charges such as:
- Any deviations from the group airfare, we have secured for this program
- The cost and payment of checked luggage
- Transportation outside of the trip dates
- Any additional nights booked at the Gwen Hotel, or another hotel outside MEM’s program dates
- Additional sleeping room for guest
- Breakfast and Dinners at leisure or on your own
- Additional meals, and beverages: soft drinks and alcohol, beyond what is scheduled
- Additional activities scheduled on own
- Phone calls
- In-room moviesMini-bar charges
- Laundry expenses
- Any incidental fees charged to your room
