The Afro-American Police Officer League cordially invites you to our Annual Awards Gala Friday, the twenty-eight of October two thousand twenty-three. The theme for the gala is “Soul-Train Awards” as we dedicate the evening to raising money for college-bound youth.
The elegant Ballroom at Bayou Place is in downtown Houston and is the perfect location as we celebrate the AAPOL Awards. The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres during the registration period. Gregory "SaxMan" Daniels will provide musical entertainment during the reception period.
Public figure, award winning producer, and television personality, Alexis "FLY" Jones and media personality and radio host from 93.7 The Beat Kiotti Brown will co-host the Award Gala. The gala will include a three-course gourmet meal with an open bar (Premium Cocktails) in a spacious venue.
Officers will be recognized for exceptional achievement in Valor, Crime Prevention, Investigations, Community Relations, Juvenile Programs, Drug Prevention and Control, Training Programs, Traffic Safety, and Innovative Approaches to Police Services.
Awards will be given for Outstanding Officer of the Year; Outstanding Patrol Officer of the Year; Outstanding Investigator of the Year; Outstanding Supervisor of the Year.
The dynamic and versatile, Dominique Hammons, will provide a musical performance once the awards ceremony has concluded. The violinist Dominque Hammons is known for his captivating performances and unique blend of musical genres. The social period will be hosted by Kiotti Brown after the musical performance and will include prize give away and Gala themed entertainment activities.
