[2022, Term 3] Project Shine: Our Sporting Adventures

Embark on Our Sporting Adventures and stay active with Project Shine’s youth volunteers! In light of the upcoming Southeast Asian Games, our participants — also known as adventurers — will be introduced to several sports that are iconic to this renowned event.

Each in-person session will feature a sports activity, coupled with warm-up and cool-down exercises. We will tap on our motor skills, learn more about 3 different sports, and most importantly, have fun together with a sports carnival at the end!

Adventure 1 - Basketball

Our Sporting Adventures begins with basketball! We will pick up simple techniques like passing and shooting through progressive exercises.

Adventure 2 - Dart Boccia

Let’s give our best throw with dart boccia! Get to know the basics of this modified sport and put them into practice by throwing the ball to different coloured zones.

Adventure 3 - Soccer

Ready to kickstart our next adventure with soccer? We will be learning how to kick a soccer ball and aim for the goalpost - to score our very own goal!

Adventure 4 - Sports Carnival

There is no better way than a carnival to celebrate the end of Our Sporting Adventures! Our adventurers can look forward to a variety of fun-filled games, such as a soccer obstacle course and frisbee throwing.
