About this Event
Curious about where and how your food is grown? Want to learn more about the history and economic importance of agriculture in Lake County? Enjoy spending time outdoors? You are invited to join UF/IFAS Extension on their 13th annual Farm Tour featuring four farms in Lake County. The day starts with an orientation in the UF/IFAS Extension Office auditorium. Participants will then board comfortable charter buses manned by knowledgeable Extension agents who will discuss each stop and answer questions while on the road. This year’s stops include a you-pick farm and store, an agritourism destination, a local ranch, and a community food hub. A locally sourced lunch, snacks, and a goody bag are included. This popular event sells out fast, get your tickets before they are gone!
Please be advised we will be visiting working farms which entails a good deal of walking on uneven surfaces. Closed-toed shoes are required.
