Howard University Bus Trip and Campus Tour

The Howard University Alumni Club of Richmond (HUAC-RVA) is sponsoring a bus trip to visit Howard University on Saturday, October 15, 2022, for prospective high school students, their parents and Howard alumni looking to mentor secondary students on their journey to Howard University.  This is a recruiting event for the school and for the club; therefore, tickets are prioritized for high school students 15 and above.  The club reserves the right to enforce this age requirement.  

The trip includes the University Open House Program and Fair, a tour of the campus, lunch, and visit to the campus bookstore. Howard University alumni will serve as chaperones; however, parents are encouraged to accompany their students on the trip.

Tickets are available at $65.00 person. No REFUNDS.

Ticket sales will end 10/13/2022. 

Once we have reached bus capacity, you will receive final instructions and a waiver/permission form for students.  When purchasing your ticket, please complete requested information on each traveler and ensure that your e-mail address is entered correctly so that the form maybe sent to you.  All students must have their parents complete and return the waiver form before boarding.  No exceptions.  

Our expected arrival time back in Richmond will be between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

We will depart from the SuperWalmart on Brook Rd. between 6:30 and 7:00 am.  Please park your cars in the back of the Walmart parking lot near the Lowe's.  We ask that you be prompt so that we can remain on schedule and ensure that necessary permission forms are completed before we depart.

***Parents, please do not leave the drop-off area until trip coordinators are able to meet with you personally to review expectations of all students on the trip.

6:00-6:30am:     Meet at SuperWalmart on Brook Rd. in Richmond, Collect Waiver/Permission Forms

6:30 am:            Bus Departs for Howard University

8:30:                  Arrive at Howard University

9:00-10:00:       Open House Program

10:00-12:00      University Tour/HU Information Fair

12:00:                Lunch

1:00-3:00:         Campus Experience

3:00-4:00:          Visit to the Campus Bookstore

4:00:                  Depart for Richmond, VA

*6:00-7:00pm     Arrive at Walmart in Richmond
