About this Event
The Golden Triangle Emergency Nurses Association (GTENA)* invites you to enjoy us for a day of continuing education and networking on October 22, 2022 from 8 a.m. - 3: 45 p.m. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and boxed lunches*** provided. The conference will be held at The Medical Center of SETX, 2555 Jimmy Johnson Blvd, Port Arthur, TX and topics will appeal to both nursing and EMS providers.
Presentations will provide valuable, timely topics and include the following:
1) Active Attack/Prepare to Live, Refuse to be a Victim presented by Jeremy Way, Emergency Management Coordinator,
2) ***Recognizing & Responding to Human Trafficking in the Healthcare Setting presented by Syrenna Krummel, RN, CA-CP SANE, SANE-A, SANE-P, and
3) The Rare, the Unusual, the Novel: Journal of Emergency Nursing Case Reviews presented by Amber Adams, DNP, RN, CEN.
Registration: Conference registration may be done through EventBrite or by mailing the brochure registration form to the address below. Best pricing will be during EARLY registration through September 30th. LATE registration pricing starts on October 1st. At door registration is available only if seating is available. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
EventBrite: Payment processing can be made with your credit. debit or PayPal accounts and will include an EventBrite convenience fee added at the time of registration.
Mail: Checks for the event should be made out to Golden Triangle ENA, PO Box 7924, Beaumont, TX 77706 and must be postmarked by the deadline date to be considered for EARLY and LATE registration pricing.
Contact hours: This activity has been submitted to the Emergency Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Texas & Louisiana EMS contact hours applications are also being submitted for approval.
**Required TXBON CE Education: Recognizing & Responding to Human Trafficking in the Healthcare Setting, through Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital application, has been approved by the Executive Director of Texas Health and Human Services Commission and will meet the Texas Board of Nursing human trafficking prevention continuing education requirement for yearly license renewal.
***Food: Breakfast and boxed lunches will be provided for this event. Vegetarian or food-allergy accommodations can be provided if the organizer is notified prior to this event.
Cancellation: Deadline for cancellation will be October 15, 2022. Registration fee minus $10 administrative fee will be refunded upon written cancellation request. EventBrite convenience fees are non-refundable.
