On September 17, 2022, American Cancer Society’s Cowford Ball will take place at the Glass Factory, marking its 27th year in Jacksonville. This year’s ho-down, themed “Life is a Highway,” will celebrate all of our journeys and how they lead us to this western celebration and fundraiser for ACS. In addition to mechanical bull riding, dancing, and taking trips to the saloon, patrons will enjoy thoughtfully crafted cocktails and Southwest inspired food stations. This year’s silent auction features items from many local and national businesses with a Hot Ticket Table and a new raffle that gives the chance to win a Hot Ticket item of choice at a fraction of the bids.
During the program, Honorary Chair, Dr. Eric Sandler and Chair, Sarah Allen Foster will discuss their highways of life, which brought them together over twenty years ago while Sarah was emerging from her battle with pediatric leukemia. A special “Paddle Raise” will follow, with all funds raised going to Pediatric Cancer Research. Additional opportunities to give directly to Pediatric Cancer Research will include purchasing art created by current pediatric cancer patients.
With over 500 attendees year over year and nearly $10 million raised, Cowford Ball is an established Jacksonville event.
