About this Event
The Course in Income Tax Preparation Level 1 and Business and Corporate Income Tax Preparation teaches basic to advanced skills for students to help both individuals and businesses to fulfill their tax obligations honestly and in a timely manner. There is a pressing need to prepare knowledgeable tax professionals to fill leadership roles in tax management.
The Program will prepare students for accurate completion of personal tax and business returns using current tax software. Using a variety of methods, including tax cases, lectures and internet research, students will be able to prepare a comprehensive personal Canadian tax return using a professional tax software program. Basic principles of tax planning and compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations are stressed in the program. The course will provide opportunities to master the new Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) technologies that are significantly challenging to the individuals and businesses.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, intermediate level of English.

Where and when
Toronto Central - Saturdays
Saturdays | 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. (8 weeks, 40 Hours)
Registration continues up to the second day of class.
Tax Credit: Tuition tax credit forms will be issued.
Certificate: Participants receive a certificate of completion.
Refund Policy:
If you withdraw more than five business days before the start of the Career Skills class you have enrolled in, an 80% refund by cheque, or a reversal to your credit card, will be processed. If you withdraw five business days, or less, before the start of the Career Skills class you have enrolled in, you will receive no refund.
Cancellation Policy:
Skills for Change (SfC) strives to hold classes as scheduled, however if low enrolment or other circumstances beyond our control occur, SfC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes five business days prior to its commencement date.
